Dr Stephen Brown can discuss the latest developments in the Russia and Ukraine conflict.  is a historian who has researched Russia for more than 30 years. He is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Humanities and Social Inquiry.


Rising electricity prices

Honorary Fellow Ty Christopher can discuss households facing electricity price rises of up to 10 per cent in the coming months, with NSW the hardest hit. This comes after the Australian Energy Regulator released its new default market offer. is the Director of UOW’s Energy Futures Network, focussing on coordinated education and research into the future of energy supply. He has more than 38 years’ experience in the electricity supply industry.


National Reconciliation Week – 27 May to 3 June

Associate Professor Summer May Finlay can talk about National Reconciliation Week (27 May – 3 June).  is a Yorta Yorta woman and Senior Lecturer in the School of Social Sciences. She has over 20 years of experience working in and with Indigenous organisations, tertiary sector, local, state and federal governments. Associate Professor Finlay’s work focuses on Indigenous health service delivery, policy and overcoming health disparities.


Musicians re-recording albums

Professor Dilan Thampapillai can talk about the growing trend of musicians re-recording their previous music to reclaim their own work. is an expert on contract law, commercial law and copyright law. He is the Dean of UOW’s School of Law.


Chronic pelvic pain

Associate Professor Laurencia Villalba can discuss findings of a that reveals how a medical treatment usually used on cardiovascular patients has transformed the lives of women affected by chronic pelvic pain. The novel application has allowed the women to reclaim their lives and sense of self.  is a vascular surgeon and Honorary Fellow in the Graduate School of Medicine at UOW. May is Pelvic Pain Awareness Month.
