UOW Supply Chain Students visit Linfox and BevChain facility at Kemps Creek
A group of students from the within the Faculty of Business and Law recently had the opportunity to go behind the scenes at and state-of-the-art logistics facility in Kemps Creek, thanks to the support of UOW alumnus and current Linfox graduate program member, .
This industry visit provided both postgraduate and undergraduate Supply Chain Management students with a firsthand look at large-scale warehousing and distribution operations, while reinforcing the strong ties between UOW and industry partners.
Louis, who completed a Bachelor of Business (Supply Chain Management) and Bachelor of Laws at UOW, kindly facilitated the visit. The group was accompanied by , , and , who helped coordinate the visit on behalf of the student society. The group toured both the ambient and temperature-controlled warehouse environments, explored automation and inventory management technologies, and learned about the complexities of working with major clients such as Lion, Coles, PetBarn and BWS.
The visit also highlighted the impact of UOW’s strong alumni network and industry partnerships. Louis’s journey from UOW and in to the graduate program gave students valuable insights into career pathways in logistics and demonstrated how the skills developed during their studies can translate into real-world impact.
This visit forms part of Centre for Supply Chain Research’s ongoing commitment to connecting students with industry leaders and preparing future-ready graduates for the dynamic world of supply chain and logistics.
