Excellence through diversity
We are committed to creating an inclusive, supportive and safe environment where every student can thrive.
All UOW students have access to a range of free services, resources and support to help them look after their wellbeing, make the most of university and achieve their study and career goals.
Support available on campus
Students at UOW Liverpool can access a range of support services in person by appointment, including:
- Student support and advice – Confidential support for students who may be finding it difficult to manage the demands of work, life and study.
- Counselling – Free and confidential counselling for students experiencing personal, academic, social or psychological challenges.
- Housing services – Support with your accommodation needs, from finding the right option to navigating your move in or out.
Accessibility and inclusion
We want to ensure a culture where everyone can be their authentic self. UOW aims to be a leader in disability services, helping students and staff with disability participate fully in university life.
Our Student Accessibility Team (SAT) is made up of allied health professionals who support students who have temporary or permanent disability and/or medical conditions.
The team provides confidential advice, resources and support, and works with students and academics to put reasonable adjustments and Access Plans in place.
Access Plans help ensure students can participate in their studies on an equitable basis and have the support they need throughout their university journey.
Need support in person? A SAT Adviser is also available on campus at UOW Liverpool for face-to-face appointments.
Learning and academic support
Support isn’t just about wellbeing. Students can also access a range of learning skills and academic support to help them succeed in their studies.
Academic workshops and support sessions are regularly available both on campus and online, with bookings available.
