FIM/WeeFIM privacy statement

The Australasian Rehabilitation Outcomes Centre (AROC) is committed to providing and coordinating ongoing training and certification in the use of the FIM® and WeeFIM® assessment tools.

This privacy statement outlines how AROC collects, uses and stores personal information in relation to the administration of the FIM and WeeFIM program, to comply with obligations under the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW).

 

Collection and use of your personal information

AROC collects personal information, including your name, email address, professional details, examination results, workshop attendance records, feedback, and other information necessary for the following purposes:

  • Administering FIM and WeeFIM training and credentialling programs;
  • Maintaining records of certification and credentialling status;
  • Communicating information regarding training, examinations, program updates, and related activities; and
  • Supporting quality assurance, program evaluation, and continuous improvement processes.

 

Security and retention of records

AROC takes all reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, misuse, loss, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Access to your personal information is restricted to authorised personnel in order to perform their duties, which may include relevant staff of the University of ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ (UOW) and nominated FIM/WeeFIM Trainers and Coordinators within participating organisations.

AROC retains your personal information for as long as necessary to administer the FIM and WeeFIM program and to meet legal, regulatory, audit, and recordkeeping obligations. Records are securely managed and retained in accordance with University of ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ recordkeeping requirements and applicable legislation.

 

Access and amendment

You may access and update your personal information and review credentialling records at any time by accessing AROC Online Services (AOS). Further information regarding the collection, use, storage, and disclosure of personal information, or additional details regarding health information collected by AROC, is available in the AHOC privacy statement.

FIM/WeeFIM intellectual property and acceptable use

All FIM and WeeFIM workshop content, examinations, assessment materials, training manuals, presentations, recordings, educational resources, and related materials are the intellectual property of AROC, University of ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ (UOW), their licensors, or other rights holders, unless otherwise stated.

Unauthorised recording, copying, reproduction, distribution, publication, sharing or other use of AROC materials may constitute a breach of intellectual property rights and may result in corrective action.
