Cancellation for non-payment of fees

Domestic students

Enrolment will be cancelled when:

  • you do not pay all your fees by census date/last day to withdraw without financial penalty
  • you do not provide your tax file number (TFN) and/or you do not permit the University to use your TFN when you have chosen to defer your fees in full or partially
  • you do not select a valid billing option
  • you do not provide proof of citizenship or permanent residency status.

What happens with cancellation?

Your student status will be de-activated:
  • you will be removed from all subjects that you were enrolled in
  • you will no longer be able to access Moodle
  • you will not be able to attend classes or sit exams
  • you will no longer be covered by UOW insurance or public liability.

How to be reinstated into cancelled session and subjects?

  • If tuition fees are outstanding pay within 10 working days, pay all applicable fees (fees = outstanding tuition fee + $200 late payment fee + non-refundable $100 reinstatement fee).
  • You have 10 working days to provide a billing payment option, TFN and permission for the University to use the TFN and pay the $100 reinstatement fee.

Can I appeal the late payment fee?

If special circumstances have made it impossible for you to pay your fees by the census date, you can .

How to come back to UOW in a future session?

  • You will need to apply for a new offer of admission - please contact UOW Future Students.
  • Depending on the reasons for cancellation, you may still be liable to pay the outstanding tuition fees, late payment charge and/or reinstatement fee for the session you are cancelled from.
  • You will still be liable for any incurred administration and library fees.
