Overview

The Bachelor of Pre-Medicine, Science and Health is a three-year degree designed to provide a strong foundation for students aspiring to enter medicine or other health and science-related fields. This course will prepare you to be competitive for entry into medical school and expose you to a range of pathways leading to further study and professional practice across the health and life sciences.

You will gain foundational knowledge and skills in health and science through course subjects in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, public health and medical ethics. Lectures, tutorials, and hands-on practical sessions are an integral component of the teaching across the degree, with access to world-class teaching and research facilities. You will also choose to specialise in either Biomolecular Medicine or Medical Physiology.

Beyond the classroom, you will develop real-world skills that will prepare you for a dynamic career in health and medicine. From your first year, you will have opportunities to participate in a wide range of volunteer and enrichment activities in the community.

Entry Pathway to Doctor of Medicine 
Applicants must meet all minimum entry requirements and list UOW as their first preference school in their GEMSAS application. Bachelor of Pre-Medicine, Science and Health students are ranked based on Casper scores, with a guaranteed interview offered to the top 15 ranked students in both the Rural and General entry pathways.

  • Academic Entry Requirements

    Applicants need to have achieved the required score in a qualification equivalent to the completion of 13 years of schooling in Australia.

  • Workload

    Full-Time Study Load
