Diploma of Nursing (HLT54115 or HLT54121) pathway
Students who have successfully completed the Diploma of Nursing (HLT54115 or HLT54121) are eligible to apply for entry into the second year (48 credit points) of the UOW Bachelor of Nursing.
Entry into the second year is not guaranteed as spaces are limited. Students who are awarded entry into second year must hold current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Students with a package offer will have a guaranteed pathway to the Bachelor of Nursing subject to the successful completion of the Diploma of Nursing (HLT54115 or HLT54121) and provide evidence of current NMBA registration with AHPRA and will be granted admission into the second year of the course.
Other Diploma’s or other nursing qualifications
Applicants with any other nursing related qualification should apply for the Bachelor of Nursing and seek credit approval.
You will be required to provide your Academic Transcripts of studies undertaken to date as well as subject descriptions/syllabuses for the faculty to consider.
You may apply for advanced standing. see how to apply for credit for Prior Learning. You are encouraged to submit your application as soon as possible after receiving an offer.
Please note that UOW is unable to pre-assess for advanced standing prior to receiving a completed application. Credit for prior learning is determined by the relevant faculty assessment upon making a fully documented application.
