The ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Campus is a short ride away from ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ CBD and many surrounding suburbs. It can be quicker to ride your bike than drive to campus, particularly during peak periods of session. Courteous and safe cycling is important to ensure the safety of everyone on campus. Cyclists may share paths with pedestrians, or use the ring road.

There are undercover and CCTV-monitored Bike Bases located across the campus where you can lock up your bike and have access to shower facilities, change rooms and toilets. They're free to use for staff and students, you just need to get a UOW access card. Lockers are also available in some bike bases.
Bike racks are located outside nearly every building. Bicycles must be parked at designated bike racks, and not chained to railings, light posts, trees or buildings. It is recommended that you use a D-bolt lock to secure your bike.
Two bike maintenance and repair stations are available on the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Campus. Each station has tools for basic repair and an air pump. Video maintenance tips are available by scanning the QR code on the station. The stations are located at the Jugglers Lawn (near the Uni Bar) and outside Building 20, opposite Panizzi.
A bike share program has been established for student residents and is currently available at Bangalay and Kooloobong Village. Speak to the admin team at your residence for more information.
Wear a bike helmet and ensure your bike is roadworthy. Give way and use your bell when near pedestrians. Follow the road rules.
If you see any hazards or problems on campus, please email us with details of the location and issue. If you see hazards or problems on the roads or cycleways around ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, please report them to ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ City Council.
Unfortunately bike theft can occur from time to time. Follow the tips from UOW Security and ensure you use a good quality D or U bike lock.
Electric bikes are only to be charged in appropriate locations at UOW, in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, and under direct supervision by the owner. Charging facilities are available in building 29 and building 231 bike bases, and outside building 20.
