The Wellbeing Health and Safety Unit provides advice and support to University of ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ workers, students, contractors and visitors to ensure that health and safety risks can be managed in accordance with the UOW WHS Management System.

SafetyNet upgrade 2025!

SafetyNet underwent an upgrade in late 2025. Please bear with us as we iron out any issues with this completely new system. We are currently working with our vendor to correct issues with access to RA's and SWP's as well as working through workflow steps for approvals and notifications. Currently email notifications are not activated as planned, so please regularly check your SafetyNet Dashboard to see if you have any outstanding action items.

WHS events and what's on

Throughout the year we will be promoting various events and activities in and around our campuses to promote wellbeing, and a healthy and safe workplace. If you have an event or activity that you wish to include on our WHS events and what's on page, please contact us via whs-admin@uow.edu.au

The Headspace University Support Program, in partnership with headspace Work & Study Online Support, are delivering workshops for work and study month to help university staff:

  • Have safe and supportive conversations with people in the University who may experience mental health difficulties
  • Learn of supports avaialbe to Students, including Work & Study Online, free tailored 1-on-1 support for young people aged 15-25
  • Learn how Work & Study Online Support work in collaboration with University staff in particular career and wellbeing services.
