Research and Graduate Research Committee
The Research and Graduate Research Committee is a standing committee of Academic Senate with responsibility for overseeing academic policy and standards relevant to research and research training (graduate research)
This committee was established 1 June 2026 and replaced the University Research Committee
The Research and Graduate Research Committee meets five to six times a year.

- 19 August (27 July deadline)
- 7 October (14 September deadline)
- 9 December (16 November deadline)
Meeting observation
Research and Graduate Research Committee meetings are open for staff and students to observe.
If you would like to observe a meeting, contact the Executive Officer at academic-governance@uow.edu.au in advance of the meeting.
Agenda inclusions
A call for agenda items is emailed to members and standing attendees five weeks before each meeting. Reports and papers are due at least three weeks before the meeting.
Committee support
Executive support is provided by the Academic Governance and Standards Division. Meeting agendas are prepared by the Executive Officer in liaison with the Chair and Deputy Chair and issued 7 days prior to each meeting. Email AGS at academic-governance@uow.edu.au for further information.
