Teaching and Learning Committee
The Teaching and Learning Committee is a standing committee of Academic Senate with responsibility for overseeing academic policy and standards relevant to teaching and learning, including those related to the student academic experience.
The committee was established on 1 July 2026 (replacing the University Education Committee)
The Teaching and Learning Committee meets five to six times a year.

- 8 October (24 September deadline)
- 3 December (19 November deadline)
Meeting observation
Teaching and Learning Committee meetings are open for staff and students to observe. If you would like to observe a meeting, contact the Executive Officer at academic-governance@uow.edu.au in advance of the meeting to ensure appropriate seating is provided.
Agenda inclusions
A call for agenda items is emailed to members and standing attendees five weeks before each meeting. Reports and papers are due at least three weeks before the meeting.
Committee support
Executive support is provided by the Academic Governance and Standards Division. Meeting agendas are prepared by the Executive Officer in liaison with the Chair and Deputy Chair and issued 7 days prior to each meeting. Email AGS at academic-governance@uow.edu.au for further information.
